1 week Till NFL Trade Deadline

The Jets have acquired WR Braylon Edwards from the Browns in exchange for WR Chansi Stuckey, LB Jason Trusnik, and two undisclosed draft choices. Edwards, who broke out in 2007 after struggling for his first 2 seasons in the NFL, made his first pro-bowl back in 07. Since then, he has struggled and has unable to produce with the stats, resulting in losses. Edwards will join Jericho Cotchery at WR for the Jets.

In other news around the NFL, San Fransico's 10th pick in the 2009 NFL Collage Entry Draft, WR Michal Crabtree has finally signed a multi year deal with the team. After waiting out the whole preseason and 4 games of the NFL regular season, Crabtree has finally singed with the team, after it was rumored that negations had stopped, and that Crabtree would enter into the 2010 draft. After the 2 sides were unable to come to an agreement (with the 49ers wanting a short-term contract worth less than Crabtree's long-term contract he wanted), the 49ers have agreed to a six-year contract reported to be worth $32 million, with $17 million guaranteed.
