Just 3 months after signing R&B artist Omarion, Cash Money Records has signed one of his best friends, Bow Wow. Likely influenced by the signing of his good friend, Bow Wow officially released the news of singing with powerhouse label via his Twitter account on Monday the 17th. After starting his career off at age 11 by signing with his mentor, Jermaine Dupri's record label So So Def Recordings, and releasing 6 solo albums, and a collaboration album with current label mate Omarion, Bow Wow left the record label after 16 years with the label. Bow Wow's latest album with the label was New Jack City II which was released in 2009. In the end, the 22-year old rapper came down to signing with one of the two record labels; either T.I.'s Grad Hustle Camp, or re-signing with So So Def. However, a third party emerged interested in Bow Wow's services, while at the same time, was also in Bow Wow's personal interest; this label, Cash Money Records.
